Shopping Cart 2.0

RightCart is a free embeddable shopping cart system that makes it easy for content publishers to sell products on their websites. The products are sold by other RightCart members, or by third party vendors such as Amazon and CafePress. As a publisher, you get to advertise items that you choose, and are paid a commission on each sale. As a vendor, RightCart provides a new outlet for getting your product out to consumers.

We built RightCart as more than a proof-of-concept Ruby on Rails application (although it's often used as an example of a great Rails-based app). RightCart is a full-blown business all its own. What starts as a fun idea sketched out on a napkin can quickly take on a life of its own!

RightCart was acquired in 2007 by Buy.com.

Analytics For Your Backups

Your backups are your business. Unfortunately, most businesses suffer from these backup weaknesses.

  • The core backup routines are hand written scripts, tested briefly by one maintainer.
  • The scripts are often old and not maintained unless they are broken.
  • When backups are broken, no one is notified until a critical event occurs.
  • There is often excessive, daily emails generated by the backup system--which are set to be ignored--or auto-filed--in email folders after a few weeks of seeing correct operation.
  • The alternative is too little notification, with no notice being sent--and therefore no way to evaluate when backups have failed.

The only solution to these weaknesses is to have a 3rd party monitoring your backup activity--providing error alerts and reporting. This is RightMirror's mission and we're finding great adoption in the SMB marketplace.

RightSignature is an online document signing service. Upload a contract and collect digital signatures from the involved parties to complete legally binding agreements.

RightSignature is designed for small to midsized businesses as a solution to the tedious task of collecting signatures for agreements. Faxing forms back and forth can take days. RightSignature streamlines this process down to minutes.

Once we have collected signatures from each party, we provide you with a signature certificate page, complete with a hard copy bar code that links the document back to our site, and the original contract.

Built on Amazon Web Services, we deploy using EC2/EBS, store all of our assets on Amazon S3, and process all payments with Amazon Flexible Payment Service.
