Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) together make a next-generation platform for deploying highly scalable web apps.

ELC has been an early adopter of S3 and EC2 with our own products (RightCart.com uses S3 heavily and Shoperion's Page servers scale via EC2).
