ELC brought ESPN's social community onto the cloud, immediately reducing costs and resolving critical scalability issues. Large bursts of traffic during major sports events and news developments is not uncommon in the sports market, and being able to dynamically scale resources to meet the demand curve has resulted in large cost savings.

To create and design the site, ELC provided application development and consulting services, along with hosting and operational support for ESPN's WidgetCenter application. Application hosting and operational support for Amazon AWS deployed ESPN and ELC jointly developed applications.
