A knowledge exchange on Ruby on Rails and Agile Development
Funny or Die in top 10 by PC World
by Toby Keller on September 20, 2007
One of our favorite projects, comedy video site Funny or Die, was featured in PC World's list of the top 10 funniest websites!

Funny or Die allows users to submit videos to be voted on. Those that the community decides are funny stay featured on the website, while those voted "unfunny" are relegated to the "crypt". Some of the videos on the site are created by known comedy talent, such as Jimmy Fallon, Bill Murray, and co-founders Will Ferrell and Adam McCay.
ELC Technologies provides Ruby on Rails development for Funny or Die, and we are very happy to see it meet with such success. Funny or Die took off seemingly overnight, gaining a large amount of initial attention through
Will Ferrell's Landlord skit, featuring a foul-mouthed little girl who visits Ferrell to collect the rent. The video so far has over 45 million views, and over two thousand comments. According to VentureBeat, "what took YouTube to do in six months, Funny or Die did in six days." Ars Technica speculates that "competitors will be keeping an eye on the service over the next several months to see whether they need to step it up a notch." Congratulations to the Funny or Die team on their great work!
